New caravan park for static and touring vehicles
29th July 2008
Owners of static caravans will be interested to learn that a new site is to be created in the Peak District.
The proposed Brosterfield caravan site is set to be built at Foolow near Eyam, the Sheffield Telegraph reported.
It will be open throughout the year and will house both mobile and static caravans so those with static caravan insurance may want to consider using the new site.
Although still in the planning stages, an application has been submitted to the Peak District National Park Authority's planning department for a "certificate of lawful use".
Those that are not content to book a place at an existing campsite may be interested in purchasing their very own static caravan park.
According to Darlington and Stockton Times, a site near Swainby in North Yorkshire is going to be put up for sale at auction along with its adjoining static caravan park.
Robin Jessop who will be auctioning the lots, said that it was a rare opportunity as caravan sites "rarely come up on the open market".
